Shows should be fun for dogs and handlers. Novelty shows are open to all dogs from the family pet of uncertain ancestry through to the pedigree pooch trying out ringcraft skills before moving on to serious showing. Agility competitions do require some level of training to have been completed before taking part to prevent dogs and handlers injuring themselves.
