Runs: 4 runs for all
Grades: 1-3 and 1-7* and Veterans and Allsorts

*Dogs at grades 1-3 can have a maximum of 8 runs if they choose to compete in the 1-3 group and the 1-7 group. For one dog 4 runs will cost £10; each additional run for that dog will cost £2.50. For fewer than 4 runs per dog each run will cost £2.75.

Limited to 700 runs

These classes are intended for beginners,dogs from 15 months that are unable to jump their own height for any reason and veterans (dogs over 7 years old) who may jump at the height
most suitable for them. There will be no weaves or see-saw in these classes. Dogs may jump at the height suitable for them. There will be no weaves these classes.

Height Categories and Jump Heights:
Micro: Dogs measuring 11 inches (280mm) or under at the withers.
Jump height is10”
Small: Dogs measuring 13.75 inches (350mm) or under at the withers.
Jump height is 14”
Medium: Dogs measuring over 13.75 inches (350mm) and measuring 17 inches
(430mm) or under at the withers. Jump height is 18”
Standard: Dogs measuring over 17 inches (430 mm) and measuring 20 inches
(510mm) or under at the withers. Jump height is 22”
This is available as an option for smaller Large dogs.
Large: Dogs measuring over 17 inches (430mm) at the withers.
Jump height is 26”
HELTER-SKELTER
A jumping course based on a decreasing or increasing circle
POWER & SPEED
The power section contains pieces of contact equipment and is not timed. If dogs are
faulted on the power section, this will be marked as an elimination. The handler and
dog may finish the power section but may not continue onto the speed section. The
speed section is made up with jumps, and tunnels. The speed section will be timed.
The dog may be handled between the power section and the speed section but not
between the power obstacles.

CATERING
There will be a mobile van all day offering hot and cold drinks, burgers etc

Please clean up after your dogs – bags will be provided
1. The organisers of the Sit and Stay show reserve the right to refuse entries. See
closing date for the show.
2. Entries limited. Fees £10.00 per dog for 4 classes OR £2.75 per run.
3. If a change of grade is needed, then it is the competitor’s responsibility to notify the
show secretary at least 14 days before the date of the show.
4. If the maximum number of runs is reached before the official closing date, entries will
be declared closed at that earlier date.
5. Competitors must sign and date the declaration on the entry form. One form per
handler.
6. Handlers not cleaning up after their dogs will be asked to leave the show.
7. All dogs entered for competition at this show must be 15 months of age or over.
8. Bitches in season are not allowed to compete at the show, or be mated at the venue.
9. Competitors are responsible for ensuring that they are available for their classes.
10. Dogs may wear a flat nylon or leather collar, without attachments (except D-ring),
when competing. Dogs must not wear any other form of collar, or harness or lead.
11. Handlers must not have with them in the ring any training aids such as toys or titbits,
with the exception of Allsorts classes where a silent toy is permitted.
12. Marking of faults, including contacts, to be in line with Kennel Club rules.
13. Judges may run their own dogs for competition when they are not scheduled for
judging, and may allow another competitor to run their dogs whilst they are judging.
14. Any person handling their own or any other dog in a harsh manner will be asked to
leave the show.
15. A dog will be removed from the competition if it is so out of control that it poses a
danger to people or dogs at the show or suffering from an infectious or contagious
disease or otherwise unfit to compete.
16. The Sit and Stay organisers are the sole arbiters in respect of all matters and
disputes at this event.
17. In the UNFORTUNATE event that the competition has to be cancelled, the Sit and
Stay organisers reserve the right to deduct unrecoverable expenses incurred before
returning entry fees.
18. Handlers entered for competition are permitted to bring their non-competing dogs to
the show. Any spectators must inform the show secretary beforehand if they intend to
bring dogs to the show.
19. All dogs are entered at their owner's risk.Whilst every care will be taken, Sit and Stay
will not take responsibility for the loss, damage or injury to dogs, people or property
whilst at this show.
20. Competitors must follow the instructions of the Stewards with respect to parking and
conduct within the show boundaries. Any person being abusive to our helpers will be
asked to leave the show.
21. Goods may not be sold at the venue without prior permission of Sit and Stay
22. Rosettes will not be posted on.
TRAINING IN THE RING
Competitors may if they so wish use the course time to train in the ring and therefore
run “Not For Competition” (NFC)
The Scribe will shout ‘NFC’ to the judge, who may then take a moment to relax. The
Scribe must shout ‘Time’ when the course time has been reached.
Competitors must ensure their scribe sheet is annotated NFC.
Practice Ring
A netted practice ring will be provided at a cost of £1.00 for 2 minutes
